As most aircraft operators, we are closely and continuously monitoring the situation with regards to the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a constantly changing landscape, and at Privaira are taking all necessary precautions to mitigate the spread of the virus. 

We also hear and understand the general concerns of our clients, of our partners, of our passengers and of our personnel and we are taking the necessary measures to make sure that exposure to the virus is limited to its maximum and that mitigating measures are readily available.

At this stage, our company continues to operate normally, but with increased health & sanitary standards, making it absolutely paramount that we’re keeping our clients and our employees safe and with respect to the operational limitations related to the COVID-19 outbreak. All our flights are carried out in accordance with national and international health and safety measures.

Domestic US Travel

While US airspace remains open to both commercial and private aviation, there are varying levels of response to COVID-19 from state and local governments across the country. We advice clients to check the measures and quarantine implications being implemented at a local level before they travel.

Pre-flight screening

We will evaluate all flight details and request additional information concerning our passengers’ previous or future travel plans to provide the best-tailored travel advice. As an additional safeguard to all on board, crewmembers will review pre-screening details prior to boarding to ensure particulars have not changed.

Aircraft cleaning

Our aircraft are going through a cleaning and disinfecting program in accordance with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. This helps us ensure a clean and comfortable cabin for each flight.

Daily Cleaning and Disinfecting:
For post-flight and pre-flight cleanings, our crewmembers use disinfectant-grade products that are EPA-approved and effective at killing COVID-19. Additionally, deep cabin cleanings are managed every night by the Maintenance Team.

High-Risk Aircraft:
Any aircraft that returns from a region identified by the CDC as high risk are immediately quarantined and disinfected.

Long-Term Protection:
All aircraft interiors, from the cockpit to the baggage hold (including carpets), are being treated with an antimicrobial barrier that kills bacteria, fungi, germs, and enveloped viruses like COVID-19. This barrier is effective for 90 days and will be reapplied before its expiration.

Greeting

In order to protect both crew members and passengers, we have stopped the welcome handshake so long as the COVID-19 virus remains a public health concern. We have also instructed our crew members on how to identify possible infections and the appropriate actions to take in the event of suspected infection.

Current health and safety measures

• All our aircraft (cabins and cockpits) are systematically deep-cleaned and entirely disinfected before and after each flight, using certified products (EPA-approved)
• All our crew members (flight and cabin) have to follow very strict protocols and procedures with regards to hygiene and health. Upon experiencing any sign of illness, they are removed from duty and asked to stay home.
• Crew Members are required to maintain social distancing and to limit direct physical contact with other persons (either with colleagues/fellow crew members or with airport personnel and passengers)
